Current 8th grade students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend in-person information sessions on HCPSS career academies on Wednesday, November 8 or Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 at the Applications and Research Laboratory, 10920 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City, MD. The evening will include two 15-minute information sessions and a visit to a third academy beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Middle School March 2 Future
Attention all Middle School students and parents: Did you know that high school students can earn college credit while in high school. Or that students can participate in a state approved apprenticeship during their senior year? Or that students can earn industry certifications through our Career Academies? HCPSS offers extensive and varied opportunities for students in high school. It's never too early to start learning about all of these opportunities.
Come to our kickoff March2Future for Middle Schools on Wednesday November 15th and hear from Dan Rosewag, Coordinator or Career and Technology Education, Ms. LaRee Siddiqui, Coordinator of Dual Enrollment (JumpStart) and Stephanie Discepelo, Resource Teacher for Apprenticeship Maryland. Presenters will provide an overview of their programs AND help students understand what they can do NOW to prepare for one of these amazing opportunities.
