Dear Patuxent Valley Community!

This is the first communication from the new Administrative Team of Mr. Smart, Ms. Ketterman and Ms. Porter! We hope you are having a great summer wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

We have already been working hard getting to know each other and beginning the preparations for an amazing 23-24 school year.  We wanted to take this opportunity to say how thankful we are to be serving the students, families and staff at our amazing school and to give you some summer information.

We believe that our strength as an administrative team will be built on the strength of our relationships, and we know that relationships are at the heart of what it means to be #BulldogStrong. We’d love to connect with the families and students in our school community and to help with that we’re hosting two meet and greets on July 26 and August 9 in conjunction with PTSA.  Please fill out this link if you are interested in attending.  We’d love to see you there, and we’d also love to connect another time if you are not able, don’t hesitate to email, or call the school if you have any questions or important information we need.

As we are planning for next school year we need your input on our traffic pattern and arrival and dismissal at PVMS.  Please complete this survey by July 10 to help us with our planning.

The new admin team has already met with the amazing incoming PTA President Hala Sahli.  It’s never too early to sign up for PTA for the school year or to make a donation.  Check out the PVMS PTA information here. We are also working hard to plan activities for staff and students during the opening weeks, if you’d like to make a donation to Patuxent Valley for these activities you can do so here. 

Summer is an important time to recharge and reconnect, and to follow your passions.  We’d love to hear what you are doing, and we look forward to seeing students, and families at summer school or our meet and greet sessions.  There is nothing too big or too small for us to work on together, so don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us.
