Rick Robb

Mr. Robb is the proud principal of Patuxent Valley Middle School. He spent thirteen years in information technology working at companies like Ernst and Young, Proctor and Gamble, and numerous state and county governments. Soon after, he began working with youth in the juvenile and rehabilitation centers in Ohio and Maryland. Upon receiving his English/Education degree, he started his teaching career in Prince George's County at Kettering Middle School, Duval High School, and Eleanor Roosevelt High School. In 2000, Mr. Robb transferred to the Howard County School System where he taught English at River Hill High School for eleven years. During that time he acquired his Masters in School Counseling, was principal of Howard County's Evening School for seven years and Howard County's Comprehensive Summer School program for ten years. He was assistant principal at Long Reach High School and Marriotts Ridge High School and the Administrator for the Applications and Research Laboratory. He has written articles and presented at local, state, and national workshops on technology in education. He enjoys spending time with his wife, twin boys, and younger daughter, and recently kayaked in the Boundary Waters.

Carol Ketterman

I am thrilled to join the Patuxent Valley Middle School family and look forward to getting to know the staff, students, and community! During my nineteen years in education, I have worked as an elementary and middle school teacher, special education team leader, and middle and high school assistant principal. I'm excited to collaborate with the entire PVMS staff to provide students with rigorous academics and meaningful experiences to enrich their growth and development.

Davita Itsuokor (formally Alston)

With 27 years in education, Ms. Alston served as the assistant principal at Elkridge Landing Middle School and has taught French and Spanish at the middle and high school levels. She embraces her calling as an administrator by building relationships with staff, students, and families and believes in holding high standards to propel students to be successful, contributing citizens. Ms. Alston loves working with middle level students and maintains that middle school is the best kept secret in education.
