Hello Bulldog Families -
It is that time of year when our 8th grade class attends their End of the Year Ceremony. Below you will find information to help your families and students prepare for the day and enjoy the moment! Please carefully read the following as we have included specific dates and links to make these two days successful.
It is important to highlight that the ceremony on June 16th includes ONLY students with last names starting with A thru K and June 17th includes ONLY students with last names starting with L thru Z. Both ceremonies will not differ otherwise.
Early Dismissal Procedure:
- On the day of a student's schedule ceremony, parents and guardians have the option to sign them out for an early dismissal. The office WILL NOT be dismissing ceremony students through the front office. All parents/guardians are required, if taking their student home early, to complete the Early Dismissal Google Form PRIOR to the allotted ceremony day.
Parking Situation:
- Parking, as many know, is very limited here at PVMS. In efforts to make it more functional, we have gained permission from Bethel Assembly of God facility to use their parking lots for either day. There is plenty of parking there and only a brief 3-minute walk to school.

Attendance Procedure:
- Each student can invite TWO adult guests for the ceremony. We understand that this is not ideal for everyone, but there are capacity limits that we are legally obliged to uphold when any activity is held in the school building. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Schedule For Either Day:
- Families and friends are to follow the sidewalk for our building on the Bollman Elementary side to make their way to the back doors of the gymnasium. Here you will be checked in and take a seat in the bleachers. Chairs are reserved for students.
- Timing of the event:
- 8:20 - student begin to enter
- 8:30 - Introductions
- 8:35 - 9:20 - Group recognitions, STRONG awards, etc.
- 9:20 - 9:30 - Closing and 8th grade class recognition!
- 9:30-9:45 - Cake and pictures!
- 9:45 - Students who are remining in school will exit back into the school hallway; students with early dismissal will proceed to the checkout table, confirm Google Form submission, and exit through the back doors of the gym.
Requests/Reminders:
- Please do not bring balloons to the ceremony. It makes hard for others to see when seated around you. Flowers and small items are great!
- If you plan to take your student home early on the day of their ceremony, please complete the Google Form prior to the ceremony!
- We will have places set up for students and family to take pictures once the ceremony has finished.
- Do not forget to have your student pick up their certificate(s) from the side tables.
