The purpose of the event is to provide opportunities for students from the African Diaspora to celebrate the cultural richness and artistic expressions of African, Caribbean and African American communities. This event will highlight the historical and contemporary contributions of these communities through mediums of dance, spoken word, hip-hop, etc., which are deeply rooted in their traditions. It offers a platform for students, as well as adults, to share their talents and stories, inspiring attendees and promoting a deeper connection to the heritage and ongoing influence of African American culture and the African and Caribbean Diaspora.
