Dear Patuxent Valley Families and Community,
Over the past week I have had the privilege of hearing our bands, orchestras and choirs at the winter concerts at Hammond High School. Tonight our Dance program is performing at Guildford Park and will round off a treat of fine arts performances from Patuxent Valley. Thank you to Ms. Lentz, Mr. Bickham, Ms. Goeke, Ms. Beauchamp and Ms. Gum for your hard work and dedication. And a huge congratulations to each of our students on the fruits of their hard work.
Next week is a Spirit Week at Patuxent Valley and we hope to see students and staff dressed up each day to take us into winter break:
Monday: Color War - wear your grade level colors, 6-White, 7-Red, 8-Black
Tuesday: College Gear
Wednesday: Wacky-Tacky
Thursday: Holiday or Seasonal Headwear
Friday: Ugly Sweater
Check out the information below for items we’ve been sending out this week, and a number of new items. Let us know if you have any questions or if there is something you’d like to see in the newsletter. All of this information is also posted on our website at http://pvms.hcpss.org/.
There is nothing too big or too small for us to work on together, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
Regards,

PVMS Updates (Priority and New this week)
The Rising 9th grade registration window is set to open on December 16th.
This week counselors visited 8th grade classes and presented a screencast reviewing graduation requirements, academic courses, and college and career opportunities in high school. Additionally, a guided video was shown instructing students on the steps to review and select courses for the 25-26 school year. To assist students and parents, Student Services has compiled a list of links in one document. Hopefully these resources will be of help. Should you have questions or concerns, please contact Ms. Glover at Jamie_Glover@hcpss.org or (410)880-5840.
Please see the attachment for important dates and information to help with this scheduling process.
